Does God exist

There really is no such thing as an athiest because all athiest are simply agnostic, meaning they can't prove that their isn't a god. There are basically two types of atheist; practical and theoretical. One just doen't care and the other is not as smart as he thinks he is. It really doesn't make a difference because atheism is nothing more than perverted moral state to try to escape from God. So how does the christian prove that God exist. Logically we cannot prove that there is a god. There is no formula that we can write down and say "see, there is a god". There are only 2 ways that we can show that God exist. Both of these are a measure of faith but it is not blind faith but faith that has evidence through 1) the Scriptures and 2) nature as the revelations of God. Gen1:1 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth". God could not have created everything if He Himself did not exist. Heb 11:6 "and without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him". Psalm 19:1-2 "The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge."These are just a couple of the thousands of versed that testify to the existence of God. The implication always is that God exist. I also find it practical that God created everything as opposed to everything happened by accident, went from disorder to order, and denying ex nihlo nihil fit - from nothing, nothing comes. It takes an increadable amount of faith to believe this rather than God created everything for a purpose and that purpose is Him. The evidence of God is there. People simply don't believe in Him and try to disprove Him for the sole purpose of escaping His judgement so that they can live without consequences. Trying to talk about the existence of God to someone who can't understand the Scriptures can seem like a fruitless task but that is what the Holy Spirit is for. The Holy Spirit is the only one who can bring man to an understanding of the Lord and His creation.

Another well written Post Pete! You took the words right out of my mouth. I was thinking of writing something similar but I'm glad you wrote it because it's done with great clearity. No pin heads here and nothing is vailed. Just revelation.

First of all doing great on the blog. I'd love to hear you two and Will sit down for a discussion. I think you could easily go on for days. It's great to see all of you thinking/writing this way.
Second, Will tried to send Pete an email and it did not go through, so obviously we have the wrong address. Can you send
your new one to us please?
Thanks.
